Piazza Tre Martiri formed where the three main roads of ancient Ariminum converged. In antiquity, it served as a city forum; Julius Caesar himself broadcast in the square; in the era of the reign of Malatesta became a knighthood. Since the XVI century, palaces began to be built here, and in 1933 a monument to Caesar was erected. The facade of the palace of Brioli (Palazzo Brioli) overlooks the square. Nearby stands the Clock Tower (Torre dell'Orologio) (1562), which is decorated with a clock with an astrological calendar. On the eastern side of the Piazza de Martiri stands the church of San Francesco da Paola or Paolotti (Chiesa di San Francesco da Paola).
