Berlin Transport

We will analyze the main types of tickets for public transport in Berlin, find out how much it costs. In the article I will share with you the transport schemes.

Berlin Public Transport (Photo by John G. Lidstone)

It is convenient to travel around Berlin by public transport, which includes the metro (U-bahn) (10 lines, 173 stations), city electric train (S-Bahn) (15 lines, 166 stations), metrotrams (9 24-hour lines), trams (13 lines) , metrobus (7 round-the-clock lines), buses (198 lines), ferries (6 routes). All of these modes of transport are part of the Berlin-Brandenburg Transport Association.

Ground transportation will take you anywhere in the capital. And buses 100 and 200 pass by the main attractions - Alexanderplatz, Zoo, etc.

You need to worry about tickets in advance. They are united on all types of transport. Purchase them at BVG sales centers, at S-Bahn stations, at vending machines at bus stops and online. In vending machines located in trams and buses, one-time tickets are sold that do not need to be composted.

The city is divided into three zones:
A - central (within the S-Bahn ring railway),
B - middle (the rest of Berlin),
