Confectionery "Cinzia" in Sicily in Trapani

Sicily is famous for its sweets, and in different parts of the island you will be offered their own special confectionery or pastries. Many pastries and raw materials, this is what confectioneries in Italy are called, have open kitchens or make the process of preparation visible to all visitors. This increases customer confidence, as you yourself can, if you wish, check the quality and see everything with your own eyes.

Our Sicilian friend Mario brought us to the confectionery Cinzia. I don’t know if it is the best in Trapani or we just looked into it along the way, but the pastries here are very tasty. Prices range from 10-15 euros per kilo of goodies.

Chocolate tubes called Salamini for 1.5 euros apiece

Catalani - these are cookies, unusually tender and tasty, the first delicacy that we were offered to try. Mario said that it was in Trapani that such cookies are very popular among the local population.

And this airy pastry with delicate cream filling inside and sweet sugar powder on top is the pride of the city of Erice. We’ll try it there, but for now we’ll try to concentrate on something else, which is completely impossible, my eyes will open at the sight of so many confectionery products.

Air marshmallows in different colors. By the way, they say that, unlike many other sweets, it is very useful. Sweet tooth, feel free to fly!

Nutella lovers will also find a dessert to their taste.

And this, dear readers, is not lemons and bananas, but culinary art made from almond paste. Frutta Martorana is a traditional Sicilian sweet, it got its name from the monastery, where it was first prepared. Such “fruits” are made entirely by hand and exclusively from natural ingredients, however, such a delicacy is stored for a very long time and does not lose its taste.

You can find Frutt Martoran in absolutely all Sicilian pastries at any time of the year.

Cinzia Patisserie is located at 116 Via Serisso, Trapani, Sicilia, Italy
