How to organize a winter holiday in Italy with children skiing?

Ski slopes, steep slopes and hotels for every taste - all this you will find in the Superski Dolomites, the largest ski region in the world. This year there was an opportunity to relax on a winter vacation in the mountains.

Everyone knows that December is the time of preparation for Christmas and New Year. The time for choosing gifts for loved ones, decorating your own homes, meeting friends to exchange greetings, and walking around the Christmas markets. And also December is the beginning of the “white weeks” season (as the Italians call the winter holidays in the Alps), when the ski resorts come to life and meet the first skiers, athletes and just snow lovers. Italians go to the mountains to enjoy breathtaking slopes, long walks in the fresh air and wonderful cuisine combined with first-class service of local hotels.

Dolomites

Dolomites is one of Italians' favorite vacation spots, attracting both professional athletes and beginner skiers. On the slopes of varying degrees of difficulty, incredible mountain landscapes open their eyes, guests are offered only the most modern sports equipment, and in cozy local towns and villages you can find accommodation at any price level, from a simple holiday home to an elite five-star hotel.

  • Find a Hotel in Italian Dolomites

This ski paradise, thanks to the quality of service and the beauty of the landscape (the Dolomites were included in the UNESCO World Heritage List) is ideal for lovers of active winter holidays. In addition, the longest in Europe ski trail Dolomiti NordicSki with a length of 1300 km with guaranteed snow cover since December 23 is arranged here. The route passes through numerous villages and valleys in which winter tourism is remarkably developed. Among others, Alta Badia, Cortina d Ampecio, Valle Aurina, Valle Tires, Alpe di Susie and Val Gardena (l'Alta Badia, Cortina d'Ampezzo, le Valli di Tures e Aurina e l'Alpe di Siusi-Val Gardena).

Alta Pusteria Region

It should also be noted the Alta Pusteria region, which offers more than 200 km of cross-country ski runs, 77 km of slopes of varying degrees of difficulty, 5 toboggan tracks, 31 funiculars and a magnificent stadium for skiing. Alta Pusteria is part of the vast Dolomite Superski region, and there are regular cross-country skiing, such as the Tour de Ski World Cup, which is held annually in the town of Dobbiaco. Therefore, it is not surprising that Alta Pusteria is very popular among athletes, including due to the ability to choose tracks with different technical characteristics. Although it is still more popular to use routes with the best views of the mountains.

For those who decide to spend their winter holidays here, various special offers have been developed this year. Depending on your personal preferences, you can combine sports with relaxation in one of the many hotels in the region.
