How to buy a ticket to the Borghese Gallery without intermediaries?

Recently, on the Internet I find more and more sites devoted to online buying, booking tickets to museums, trains and attractions. There is also a clear tendency to intimidate a tourist, saying that you can’t buy tickets, you will stand in lines and so on. Sometimes this is true, but in most cases it is not, and the queues, if they exist, are not so scary.

One of the exceptions is the Vatican Museums and the Borghese Gallery - a collection of works of art comparable to the best museums in the world.

Due to the uniqueness of the place itself and its popularity, it is unlikely that you can get there at random, since the number of daily ticket quotas is limited. The only way out is to book tickets in advance.

Most reseller sites do exactly the same procedure that will be described below, only charge you an additional fee. In terms of complexity and time spent on entering data and purchasing, you will spend exactly the same time + booking everything on the official website the risk of running into scammers is zero. The instruction was tested on my grandmother, who in her life did not use a computer, and she did it - so you can!

Today we will learn how to buy tickets to the Borghese Gallery in Rome without intermediaries.

Attention: go only to the official TicketOne online ticket offices - only here you can buy tickets without intermediaries at the lowest price.

From the Borghese Gallery website we are always redirected only to the website www.ticketone.it - This is the official partner store of the Italian Ministry of Culture, so everything is in order. Basically, the process of buying tickets can begin immediately this page. Enter “Galleria Borghese” in the search

  • See step-by-step instructions for registering on the site

Note that you can immediately see tickets to other Roman attractions.

Booking is best done at least 7-10 days in advance. You can even book tickets for 1 month.

The visit to the gallery is limited to two hours, so if you are a special connoisseur of art and want to enjoy all the works, you will have to buy two tickets. Believe me, there is something to see there.

Good news! In 2019, from July 6 to October 6, the gallery opens special 3-hour evening sessions with an entrance at 19:00 - it is a great idea to comfortably enjoy the masterpieces of sculpture when the heat subsides. After an individual tour, if you wish, you can stay in the gallery for another hour and examine the exhibits yourself in more detail.

Official Ticket Prices

  • 15 euros - Adult (Full Price); Prices have risen since 2018.
  • 2 euro -children under 18 years old (Gratuito <18 anni) or senior citizens over 65.
  • 8.5 euros - EU citizens aged 18-25 and EU teachers - EU citizens who are students or teachers;
  • Important: during exhibitions, ticket prices can increase up to 22 euros.

For example, we will book 2 tickets at full price for 11 euros at 9 in the morning. The total cost will be 17 euros per person, since you will be charged + 2 euros for pre-booking services.

Next, you are invited to select and change the time and number of tickets that are convenient for you. Such a chic choice of free dates is far from always.

In the price breakdown, we see that the ticket itself costs 13 euros, plus 2 euros costs its preliminary booking (Presale fee x € 2.00 <). Unfortunately, you can probably get to the Borghese Gallery only because of the limited space and the large number of people who want to visit this unique museum.

Note that a service charge of 2 euros was added to the ticket price. Total, you should get 13 euros for one ticket or 26 euros for 2 adult tickets. You can also insure your ticket for plus 3 euros. If you can’t come, they will return the money to you (minus 3 euros of course). They consider this option useful for ever doubters and changing their minds. For me personally, it is useless.

If you have already done the user registration procedure, which will be described below, then simply enter your username and password at this stage and press LOGIN. If this is your first time buying a ticket to Roman museums, press PROCEED.

Step-by-step user registration instructions

Registering a new user is not a big deal, just fill out the minimum required set of fields on ticketone.it. Registration will help you in the future to buy tickets for any concerts, museums and events much faster.

  • I advise you to read the instruction: how to buy tickets to museums and concerts yourself.
  • Recommended: visit the Borghese gallery with a personal guide - it's effective and interesting. Read the description of the tour.

Fill in your data. It is enough to fill in the example only fields with asterisks.

Fill CONTACT DETAILS (example). If you do not want to receive letters with news about exhibitions, check the “No newsletter, order confirmation only” box (No mailing list, only payment confirmation). I personally put a tick. And fill in YOUR USER DATA (YOUR USER DATA). Here you can independently create a username and password. In the future, you will be able to go to the site under your username and book the following tickets faster, as well as view your bills and reservations.

  • You can generate your personal Fiscal code (in Italian codice fiscale) on the website www.codicefiscale.com

At the bottom of the page, we agree to the standard conditions - check the box next to "I give consent" (I give consent).

Enter your billing information. You can pay with Visa or Master Cars, as well as PayPal.

After entering all the data, we will go to the “Summary” page (Total) - this is the last step before buying a ticket.

Last time we check the date, time and number of tickets. Click "Buy now".

Confirmation will be sent to the email address provided during registration - this is your ticket.

Important: you need a letter where in the subject line is Purchase Order Confirmation Tosc.it - Your order ID is XXXXXXXX (order number). This letter usually comes second, after the first with an invoice. Write down the ticket codes (Your pick-up code is: 9O9D2AJ) so that there are no overlays and get tickets 100%. For all other data - the order number, invoice, etc., a ticket in Borghese will never be given. Ideally, you need to completely print the letter.

An hour before the appointed time you need to come to the ticket office. As you see, dear friends, the self-ticket process is very simple and does not require intermediaries. Book tickets on the official websites, and go to a good Italian restaurant for the money saved.

Alternatives

If you do not have time to buy a ticket or have difficulty registering on the official website, you can order a reservation on the website www.getyourguide.ru

Ticket costs 21 euros (children and guide book 3 euros)Available time is 09:00, 11:00 or 13:00.

Also, tickets "at the last moment" can be bought on the website www.tiqets.com for 20 euros.

How did we write this instruction?

It is logical to start the beginning of any ticket search with an official resource. We go to the website of the Borghese Gallery in Rome www.galleriaborghese.it

The site itself, of course, is in Italian, so let's switch to English.

If the appearance of the site is different from the photo below, look carefully at the site address, maybe you entered it incorrectly or scammers redirected you to an enemy resource. By the way, please note that the site provides a calendar of current exhibitions and events taking place in Rome.

Click on the menu “Tickets reservations” and go to the reservation page.

She looks like this. We are interested in the Borghese Gallery, click on it and click on “Online Reservations”.

This is exactly how we got to the official page of TicketOne online ticket office

We wish all our readers cultural education and are waiting for you on excursions!

Italy in winter

For people who do not care about the cold, winter can be a great time of the year to plan your trip to Italy.
